Our Troop Activities

Here is the page featuring information about non-camping events, as well as community service projects and patriotic information.

Our plan this year is to support our new sponsor, Pleasant Valley Community Hall, whenever we can. Check our calendar for more details.

We coordinate the games and food sales at the Pleasant Valley Days July 4th Parade and celebration held at the Pleasant Valley Fire Station.

Our other fundraiser is Christmas tree sales usually the first weekend in December. Check our calendar for details.

Our troop also holds a Flag Retirement Ceremony following our Troop Courts of Honor. If you have a flag to be retired, it can be delivered to the Pleasant Valley Community Hall at our Monday night meetings; check our calendar for details.

Note Flag Retirements: We are going to begin a different process for retiring flags made of synthetic materials (we have lots!) that don't involve inhaling noxious petroleum based fumes. We can cut them up in a particular way for respectful disposal in a land fill. To that end, parents who'd like something to do during meetings, bring a sharp pair of scissors and we will cut up flags. Once we have several in a box, we will have a ceremony honoring them and what they stand for before they are taken to the landfill.
